Tibet Tour

Tibet is a plateau region in Asia and a disputed territory, north of the Himalayas. It is home to the indigenous Tibetan people, and to some other ethnic groups such as Monpas and Lhobas, and is inhabited by considerable numbers of Han and Hui people.

Tibet is the highest region on earth, with an average elevation of 4,900 metres (16,000 ft). It is sometimes referred to as the roof of the world. It is one of the world's most extraordinary destination and there is adventure indeed lurking around almost each and every corner. Lhasa The capital lies high in the arid wilderness of the Tibetan mountains, it's name the "Roof of the World" is no idle statement. The valley bottoms of Tibet are higher than the highest mountains elsewhere . It's snow covered plateaux are the highest in the world , and apart from the Everest , which Tibetans see from 'the other side', many mountains are over 15000 feet.

7 nights 8 Days
An utterly amazing week of high altitude overland travel. The 900 Kms. Journey between Kathmandu and Lhasa is rightly considered to be an incredible Trans-Himalayan adventure - a more dramatic journey between such startlingly contrasting cultures and climes impossible to imagine.

But the rugged living and travelling conditions en-route will discourage all but truly adventurous. Those considering this short but epic journey will need to know that meals are seldom better than basic, accommodation and sanitation are humble at best, and that road condition and the five great mountain passes make for slow and jolting Land-cursor progress. However, no traveler has yet failed to find that the rewards of this incredible journey far outweigh any of its tiresome privations.
