Bhutan Tour

The Kingdom of Bhutan is a landlocked country in South Asia, located at the eastern end of the Himalaya Mountains and bordered to the south, east and west by the Republic of India and to the north by Tibet. Bhutan was separated from the nearby state of Nepal to the west by the Indian state of Sikkim, and from Bangladesh to the south by West Bengal.

Bhutanese people are ethnic Tibetan. They also share religion and culture values with Tibetans. Bhutan's landscape ranges from subtropical plains in the south to the Himalayan heights in the north, with some peaks exceeding 7,000 metres (23,000 ft). The state religion is Vajrayana Buddhism, and the population of 691,141 is predominantly Buddhist, with Hinduism being the second-largest religion. The capital and largest city is Thimphu. The national language is Dzongkha, with Buddhism being the dominant religion, and some percentage of the population being Hindu. Bhutan has been blessed with verdant forests and arresting mountains that are home to a rich variety of flora and fauna. It is surrounded by a deep peaceful calm that is reflected in the simple lives of the Bhutanese people. It has also not been actively involved in the Industrial Age, the World Wars, the arms race, and until recently, not even cyberspace. A land with a vibrant and orthodox culture, Bhutan is often referred to as the ‘living museum’ of the world.
